Rochester Downtown Farmers Market (RDFM)    Rochester, Minnesota

We get many requests from non profits who wish to set up at the Farmers Market, but our growers-only policy prohibits us from providing booth or stall space to anyone but our vendors  and scheduled Market guests.

There are spots outside of the Market vending area where you are welcome to set up informational tables, if you have literature and/or promotional materials for upcoming events that you would like to share with the community.  These include the grass strip along the 4th St SE sidewalk, and the park area between the Market vending area and the river.  Please do not block pedestrian traffic, set up in the Market parking lot, or offer items for sale.  Please contact us if you have questions. 

Demonstrations/Other Ways to Share

Please contact us if you are interested in providing a demonstration or interactive activity that helps to promote local foods and your organization. There are many possibilities for Market sponsored guest events; if you have an idea for an activity that will create a partnership between your group and the RDFM, we will schedule a Market date when you will be able to set up for a Saturday morning in our guest stall. Once each summer the graduating class of Mayo dietitian interns hosts an educational booth where the community can learn about topics such as the nutritional benefits of eating locally grown foods, food preservation, and ways to prepare fresh produce - complete with Farmers Market produce sampling and recipe handouts.

2009's group of interns created a "Guide to Eating for Health," providing our customers with delicious samples of "Comfort Foods that Nature Intended" - a very successful demonstration of ways that food can help us to feel good all over!
